EU TAXES NON-RECYCLED PLASTICS

In an unprecedented move the Summit of the European Heads and States adopted a tax on non-recycled plastics.


Starting January 1, 2021 member states will have to pay Brussels a penalty of 0.80 EUR per kilogram of plastic that is not recycled.


We hope, that plastic exported from member states like Germany to be incinerated somewhere else, will no longer be deemed 'recycled.
