Industrial Scale Iron & Steel Recycling

Fact

Compared to making steel from iron ore, recycling steel and ferrous scrap saves 60% of energy needed. More than 40% of the world's steel production originates from recycled scrap.

Process

Small volumes of end of life vehicles, household appliances and other bulky sheet metal scrap is best shredded with Low RPM High Torque Shredders to 200mm at up to 10 tph. Larger volumes require complete high rpm shredding installation. We then remove inerts by flat screen, and separate ferrous and non-ferrous metals by electromagnetic, eddy-current, induction and x-ray sorters. Magnetic drum for ferrous, eddy current for alu and light non-fe, indusction sorter for copper cables, stainless steel. In operation from 50tph we use zerrator plants and larger magentic drum separators to produce shredded steel.
Autoshredder Residue (ASR) is processed to Refuse Derived Fuel (RDF) by
flat screening, windsifting, recovery of non-fe metals with Eddy Current and induction sorters.

Cars & Bulky Scrap

Function: reduce bulky metal scrap to 200mm max.particle size.
Robust low rotation high torque double shaft direct drive hydraulic shredder. Each shaft one engine, operate independent and autoreverse and autostop. No gearbox, no chains. Knives welded on shafts, no breaking, no rebolting, no replacement of knives. Scheduled maintenance only, no interruption of work.
